Center for Gender Equity
The Center for Gender Equity (CGE) provides advocacy, education and support services to both women and men of UCSF through our three core components: Women and Gender, Sexual and Relationship Violence, and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Resources. The Center develops educational programs and trainings that promote an equitable campus community. CGE provides technical assistance and consultation to faculty and managers, as well as crisis intervention, resources and referrals to students, faculty, postdoctoral scholars, staff and the community at-large (covering such topics as sexual violence, domestic violence, gender sensitivity and awareness, and LGBT related issues). CGE produces a range of events that provide a variety of educational and professional development opportunities from networking, leadership skill-building and career advancement, to self-defense training.
