- SMG Payroll/Personnel Coordination
While SMG payroll/personnel coordination is under the purview of campus Human Resources, it is centralized within the Office of the Associate Vice Chancellor-Administration.- SMG Personnel Files - The Office of the Associate Vice Chancellor-Administration serves as the office of record for SMG personnel files;
- SMG Timesheet Processing - SMG timesheets are distributed on a monthly basis to each SMG member by the SMG Payroll/Benefits Coordinator (not including SMG Medical Center timesheets). Once completed, original timesheets are retained within the Office of the Associate VC-Administration;
- SMG Payroll Transactions - All requests for changes to payroll details must be submitted, via email, to the SMG Payroll/Benefits Coordinator;
- SMG Payroll Processes - Family and Medical Leave Act (after 3 days of sick leave absence, SMG Payroll Coordinator is to be notified); Workers’ Compensation; Disability; and, Catastrophic Leave;
- SMG Service Calculations - For vacation accrual purposes;
- SMG Annual Merit Process - SMG merits occur, annually, during the month of October. SMG merit recommendations require approval by OP, a process which extends over a period of several months; and,
- SMG Performance Award/ Incentive Award Processes - Processing schedule varies.

Each SMG member will be required to complete the following reports:- Annual Report on Outside Activities - On an annual basis, this process is coordinated by the Director-Human Resources and submitted to Office of the President;

- Annual Statement of Economic Interests - On an annual basis, this coordination process is within the Office of Legal Affairs. Reports are submitted to Office of the President; and,
- Conflict of Interest Reports - Upon entering or leaving the SMG program, each member is required to complete a “Conflict of Interest” form. This process is coordinated through the Office of Legal Affairs. Policy details can be found on the campus web site under Campus Administrative Policy #150-10
- Annual Report on Outside Activities - On an annual basis, this process is coordinated by the Director-Human Resources and submitted to Office of the President;
- UCSF SMG Organizational Charts
- UCSF Executive Compensation Review Committee The UCSF Executive Compensation Review Committee, comprised of all Deans, Vice Chancellors, and Chief Executive Officer is responsible for reviewing UCSF compensation requests for all positions in the Management and Senior Professional (MSP), grades 6-9, and SMG positions not reporting to the Chancellor.
