UCSF Furlough/Salary Reduction Implementation Guidance Workshop
The UC furlough/salary reduction plan is mandated to begin on September 1st. HR staff and academic personnel administrators will play a critical role in the successful implementation of this program. Many questions have been raised to UCOP and UCSF leadership, and details are emerging on a daily basis. In the meantime, we must proceed with planning for this implementation as best we can.
Representatives from Human Resources, Academic Affairs and the Controller’s Office will conduct a Furlough/Salary Reduction Implementation Guidance Workshop later this month to address:
- Overview of how the furlough/salary reduction program works.
- Initial salary reduction process (note: UCOP is developing a one-time program to create the appropriate salary reduction lines in the EDB).
- On-going management of the pay reduction and timekeeping components.
To make the most effective use of your time, workshop content will assume you are familiar with the UCOP and UCSF FAQs. Please review this information before attending the workshop and check back often for updates:
