How Can I Receive Care at UCSF Medical Center?

Employees who are enrolled in any of the following plans may receive care at UCSF Medical Center:

  1. Anthem Blue Cross Plus
  2. Anthem Blue Cross PPO
  3. Anthem Blue Cross Lumenos
  4. Core
  5. Health Net
  6. Health Net Blue & Gold

However, if you are enrolled in Anthem Blue Cross Plus, Health Net or Health Net Blue & Gold you will also need to select a provider/medical group affiliated with UCSF.

Hill Physicians Medical Group, with approximately 1,000 participating physicians in San Francisco, includes all providers at UCSF.

Individuals selecting a primary care provider within Brown & Toland Medical group will require prior authorization to see specialists at UCSF with the exception of referrals to pediatric specialists or referrals for pregnancy care.

Selecting a primary care provider at UCSF Medical Center

In order to offer UC employees more primary care options, UCSF Medical Center and UCSF Medical Group recently expanded primary care access.

One option for employees is Primary Care at Laurel Village, located on the second floor of the building at 3490 California Street, Suite 200. This has the goal of making primary care more personal and accessible. The new practice, headed by pediatrician David Buchholz, MD, offers same-day appointments for urgent medical needs and uses technology to make the practice more efficient.  Through MyHealth, UCSF’s patient portal, patients can make appointments, communicate with their doctor and request prescription refills.

For more information about Primary Care at Laurel Village or to make an appointment, call 415/514-6200 or visit the website Primary Care at Laurel Village.

For additional general information on UCSF primary care physicians who are currently taking new patient, please visit www.ucsfhealth.org/primarycare.

At Your Service Online Account Set-up/Password Reset

At Your Service Online Account Set-up/Password Reset

Due to new security enhancements for accessing your personal accounts on the At Your Service Online (AYSO) website, you must now make certain that you are able to login to your personal AYSO accounts. Having the ability to access your personal accounts, submit online transactions, as well as take Open Enrollment actions will ensure timely, convenient, and accurate processing.

For individuals who have not updated their account:

  1. You must create a user name to replace your SSN. The AYSO sign-in page has been modified to accept a user name only.
  2. Remember your password.
  3. Provide answers (with exact wording) to the security questions.
  4. Submit your personal email address (this provides you with automated notification/confirmation of activity on your personal accounts).
    • Your UC-email address is automatically uploaded to the systems—check for accuracy. Contact your Department Benefits Representative if you need to make changes to your email address.

New Employees & New AYSO Users

If you are logging into AYSO for the first time or have not created a username, you will need to click the link "new user" or "don't have a username" located on the AYSO login page. This will allow you to login with your SSN and password. If you've never used the online system, your temporary password will be your 8-digit birthday (e.g. 10252007). Once inside, the system will prompt you to create a new username and password.

Forgot Your “Username”

If you've forgotten your username but remember your password, you can click this link to log in using your SSN and password. If entered correctly, this method displays a screen that shows your username and instructions on how to change it, if you want to. By clicking "continue," you can proceed to your account.

Forgot "Password"

If you forget your password you can click the "forgot password" link and choose to either have it sent to your email address on file or to answer your security questions.

Important General Reminder: When you are asked to enter your 8 digit birthdate, do not use slashes, dashes or spaces.
