Annual Flu Shot Program Begins in October

Free flu shots are available to UCSF staff who have an ID. The flu shot schedule is posted on the UCSF Occupational Health Program website. You will need to present your ID badge in order to receive a free flu shot.

UCSF hospital-based staff and faculty who decline to receive a flu vaccine need to complete a declination form as required by CA Senate Bill 739. A link to the form is available from the Occupational Health Program website. Hospital-based UCSF staff and faculty located at SFGH, SF VA, or LPPI should complete the declination forms provided by those facilities.

New! Ergonomic Equipment Reimbursement Program

UCSF has established an Ergonomic Equipment Matching Fund Reimbursement program to provide departments a cost-effective way to prevent and/or minimize the effect of computer-related, repetitive motion injuries. The program focuses on ergonomic modification of individual employee computer workstations, such as furniture or accessories, and subsidizes 50 percent of costs, not to exceed $500 per employee.

To qualify for the matching fund program:

  1. You must be a UCSF Campus Employee.
  2. Employee must have reviewed the online Office Ergonomics Training module.
  3. The equipment recommendation was selected following an ergonomics evaluation done by OEH&S Department Safety Advisor (DSA), Campus Ergonomist, Faculty Physical Therapy, or ergonomics evaluator contracted by OEH&S or Disability Management.
  4. The equipment selected is on the UCSF Ergonomics Preferred Products List and ordered from preferred vendor(s).  Other equipment will be considered on a case by case basis.
  5. The purchase order for the recommended furniture or equipment is submitted within 30 days of the evaluation.

If you have additional questions regarding the program, you may contact Nathalie Delsaer in OEH&S at 415-476-4286.
