Highlights of the Agreement include:

Wages:

Health benefits:  Healthcare employees will continue to enjoy the same excellent medical benefits provided to other UC employees.  For calendar years 2010 and 2011, healthcare employees will contribute to monthly premiums and other benefit costs consistent with the employee’s pay band and coverage selected.

Pension benefits:

Contract duration:  The current contract is extended through December 31, 2011, provided UPTE agrees to the additional 1.5% employee pension increase in 2011.  Absent such agreement the contract shall expire on June 30, 2011.

If you have any questions regarding this agreement, please contact your assigned Labor and Employee Relations Analyst

Anthem Blue Cross PLUS plan – New information on benefits for dependents living outside of California
Anthem Blue Cross PLUS family members who live outside of the California service area may be eligible to participate in the Guest Membership program, which allows the individual to be a “guest member” of an Anthem Blue Cross or Blue Shield plan in the area where the family member lives. This is an excellent opportunity for a child or spouse/partner who lives away from the family home to receive Tier 1 benefits without any additional cost. Guest privileges are not available everywhere in the United States and they may be available in certain areas of specific states.
For more information about the program and/or to request an application, contact Anthem Guest Benefits directly at 800-827-6422.  Be prepared to provide the “away from home” address including zip code when calling.

Hill Physicians, East Bay Network – Increase in Providers
Health Net Blue & Gold HMO

Health Net has added 68 additional Primary Care Physicians (PCP) in the Hill Physicians Medical Group in the East Bay to the Health Net Blue & Gold HMO network.

The additional PCPs are located in Oakland, Berkeley and surrounding communities in Alameda and Contra Costa counties.

These Hill Physicians PCPs will be referring their UC Health Net Blue & Gold HMO patients to more than 500 Hill Physicians specialists that have admitting privileges to participating hospitals and other facilities. The participating hospitals include St. Rose Medical Center, Hayward; Washington Hospital, Fremont; Doctor’s Medical Center, San Pablo; John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek; Children’s Hospital, Oakland; San Ramon Regional Medical Center, San Ramon; and ValleyCare Health System, Pleasanton.

Hill Physicians will not refer Health Net Blue & Gold patients to hospitals that are not participating in the Health Net Blue & Gold network, including Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, Eden Medical Center, San Leandro Hospital or Sutter Delta Medical Center.

To see the fully updated list of Hill Physicians in the Health Net Blue & Gold network, visit the Health Net Open Enrollment website, provider search page.

If you wish to enroll in the Health Net Blue & Gold HMO with a Hill Physicians PCP, you may do so at any time until 5 p.m., November 23—even if you have already made Open Enrollment changes. Simply sign in to your account again on AYSO and make the necessary changes. Be sure to confirm your changes.

If you have already enrolled in Health Net Blue & Gold and selected a different PCP but would like to have a Hill Physicians PCP, you can sign in and change the PCP only by clicking on “PCP“ in the navigation menu on the left hand side of the Open Enrollment main menu. Again, be sure to confirm your changes.
