Leave Balances Will be Printed on Direct Deposit Earning Statements
Beginning December 1, 2006, employee leave balances will be printed on their earnings statement:
Employees who have questions or concerns should contact their department’s timekeeper.
Reminder—Background Checks For Clerical (CX) Bargaining Unit Employees
In the past few months, the Controller’s Office issued procedures for employees who handle cash mandating that those employees be fingerprinted and background checked, and the University issued revised guidelines adding a new category of jobs – those that involve direct access to and/or responsibility for protected, personal, or other sensitive data – that are designated as critical and therefore require a background check.
Human Resources has received a number of inquiries regarding union notice requirements when changes (both voluntary and involuntary) in the duties of an incumbent CX employee’s position result in the position being designated as critical, or when a CX employee is reclassified to a critical position in the same bargaining unit. When either of these circumstances occurs, a notice must be sent to CUE at least 45 days prior to conducting any background check. Please work with your Labor/Employee Relations Analyst to ensure that the notice is sent to CUE in a timely manner.
Flu Shot Clinics Extended
Free Flu Shot Clinics have been extended on a drop-in basis from November 28th – December 21st at the Mount Zion and Parnassus campuses. Please see this flyer for more details:
