Walk For Good Health on May 23rd and Earn Points Toward Your StayWell Incentive
Living Well at UCSF invites the entire UCSF campus community to participate in the third annual UC Walks Day event on Wednesday, May 23rd from 12:00-1:00pm. Last year, more than 3,600 people across the UC system walked nearly 6,400 miles combined. Please join your UCSF friends and colleagues as we walk together with thousands of other faculty, staff, and students at all other UC’s across California for our health and wellness at the same time!
Participants of the UCSF Walks Day will receive a free T-shirt and organic produce (while supplies last). Organized walks will take place at Parnassus, Mission Bay, Mission Center Building, Mount Zion, SFGH and Laurel Heights. Please arrive at 12:00 to pick up T-shirt and produce; walk will begin promptly at 12:30pm.
Please register in advance for one of the UCSF walks here.
New This Year: For 2012, eligible faculty and staff may participate in UC Walks as an alternate follow-up program to earn the StayWell incentive award ($100 gift certificate). Participation in the UC Walks event may be completed before the health assessment, but to be eligible for the incentive, the health assessment MUST be completed by June 15, 2012.
- General information on StayWell (including eligibility) can be found here.
- Instructions on reporting participation in the UC Walks can be found after logging into your StayWell account and selecting the link in the upper left corner “Find out more on the UC Walks events at your location”.
More information about continuing Living Well at UCSF events and activities can be found here or by contacting Leeane Jensen, Wellness Coordinator.
