New Temporary Employment Program Website Launches with Savvy, Time-Saving Features
The Temporary Employment Program (TEP) has launched a new Information Management System (IMS), which will enable TEP to provide faster, more efficient services to campus and Medical Center Departments. Features include email notifications for job order requests, direct resume forwarding, timesheet approval, and invoice review. The new IMS will also allow inter-department resume sharing. Most importantly, the IMS is user friendly with intuitive screens and processes. Check out the training modules with step-by-step instructions to assist with any user questions that may arise. Featured this week:
Senior Leadership Compensation Group: The Senior Leadership Compensation Group (SLCG) includes positions classified in the Management and Senior Professional (MSP) program, grade levels 6-9, and all Senior Management Group (SMG) positions. The goal of the UCSF SLCG Compensation Team (SLCG Comp) is to support members of the UCSF Compensation Committee and the Chancellor with coordinated and equitable processes for job evaluation, salary administration, and comprehensive compensation review of SLCG positions. The analyses and recommendations prepared by SLCG Comp are subsequently provided to the Compensation Committee or the Chancellor for review, endorsement, and/or approval. For items requiring further approval, SLCG Comp is then responsible for coordinating approval requests with the Office of the President and the Regents. SLCG Comp is responsible for communicating approvals, obtaining documentation, and reporting actions regarding the SLCG population to the relevant departments or schools, the UCSF Compensation Committee, the Chancellor, the President, and the Regents.
The overall purpose of the UCSF Compensation Committee ("The Committee") is to provide oversight and guidance to better align compensation internally between similarly situated employees and externally with relevant labor markets. Reviews are limited to: Assistant/Associate VC title usage; initial classifications; reclassifications; salary determination upon promotion or upward reclassification; and salary increases. Authority has been delegated to this Committee, by the Chancellor, to approve actions for which authority has been delegated to the campuses by the Regents.
