The Third-Level, Public HR Entrance at Laurel Heights Closes
Due to the University’s Budget Reduction Initiatives and changes to the business in the Interim Staffing Program, we’ve closed the public, outside entrance to HR on the third level of the Laurel Heights building and will no longer offer general reception services through this entrance.
If you have business with HR staff in Suite 305, we’ll make arrangements with you in advance to ensure your access. Suite 330 will continue to be open during business hours. We thank you in advance for your flexibility during these challenging times.
Violence in the Workplace Training Session
This workshop is a “must” for all senior leaders and managers at UCSF to learn about, or be reminded of, how to reduce the potential for workplace violence and/or to resolve violent incidents in the workplace.
Please plan to attend to learn how to:
- Understand and implement UCSF’s Zero Tolerance in the Workplace Policy
- Recognize signs of potential workplace violence
- Manage potentially violent interactions
- Document incidents of violence
- Work with dedicated UCSF resources, especially the Threat Management Team, to resolve violent workplace incidents
Andrew L. Parker, Ph.D., is the featured presenter, after which there will be a panel discussion where you can meet UCSF’s Threat Management Team members and ask them direct questions.
The target audiences are all UCSF Campus and Medical Center Managers and Supervisors. The session will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at HSW 301, Parnassus, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Please reserve a seat at this very important workshop by registering on the Learning Management System.
What Is a Transitional Work Plan?
A Transitional Work Plan (TWP) allows an employee with temporary restrictions to work in a modified, alternative, or reduced-hours capacity for a defined period of time while recuperating from an illness or injury. Disability Management Services (DMS) staff are available to assist in this process. You may also refer to the DMS website.
