Update to the START Program

In last week’s HR Update regarding the implementation of the Staff Reduction in Time (START) program, it was communicated that only non-represented staff and employees represented by University of Professional and Technical Employees (UPTE) were eligible to participate in the program. The University has now received confirmation from the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) and the University Council-American Federation of Teachers (UC-AFT) that Service Unit (SX), Patient Care Technical (PCT), and Professional Librarian (LX) employees may participate in the program in accordance with departmental approval.
