UCSF Medical Center and PacifiCare Agree on Contract
UCSF and PacifiCare have agreed to a six month contract, effective January 1, 2007. UCSF employees and their family members covered by PacifiCare may continue to have access to patient care services at the UCSF Medical Center.
Online Earnings Statements
As previously announced, beginning with the February 1st, 2007 payday, online earnings statements will be implemented for those employees who have direct deposit. Earnings statements are available to UC employees who login at http://atyourservice.ucop.edu/.
Department instructions for online earning statements are available online.
This is a win-win feature for everyone, since it reduces the need for printing and distributing paper statements, resulting in savings of both labor and natural resources, and it offers employees the ability to view earnings statements sooner.
Employees who wish to continue to receive hard copy earnings statements will need to complete the Online Earnings Statement Opt-Out Form attached and forward it to their Department Payroll Representative.
Employees who are receiving hard copy checks and would like to receive their earnings statement online, need to enroll in direct deposit and can do so by contacting their Department Payroll Representative.
(RX) and (TX) Merit Eligibility for Merit Increases
Effective January 1, 2007, employees in the Research Support (RX) and Technical (TX) units are eligible to receive merit increases in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
RX unit employees are eligible to receive a one step merit increase, and TX unit employees are eligible to receive a one half step merit increase. To be eligible for the January 1, 2007 merit increase:
- An employee must have been appointed as a career employee in any personnel program by July 1, 2006;
- A performance evaluation must have been completed within the last twelve months preceding the merit increase; and
- The employee must have a performance rating of satisfactory or better.
If you have any questions regarding the RX/TX units, please contact Kristen Stewart at 476-8034 or email at kstewart at hr.ucsf.edu
