Please pass this on to your colleagues, circulate invitations, post the actual schedules, or otherwise re-broadcast these weekly reminders about our valuable (FREE) education programs for faculty and staff.  Bring your lunch; your questions; your spouse/partner. . .

Usually there can be at least one (or more) workshop(s) per week scheduled at various UCSF locations around town. For more details and listings for upcoming scheduled presentations, please refer to our Workshops and Presentations Schedules menus found at our local UCSF HR/Benefits website.

Is There a Benefits Representative Designated for Your Department?

This query is just to remind all departments that you should have someone designated (typically within your central business area) as Department Benefits Representative (DBR).  Currently, there are about 200 individuals that are members of our DBR network.

If you feel that someone in your department should be a part of our network (or if you have a DBR not on our network), please contact our office to learn how to coordinate becoming a part of the DBR Network (department authorization required).  Or, maybe, you think your DBR might benefit from a refresher, hmm?

Were you aware that the UCSF HR/Benefits Office conducts monthly workshops that will enable the DBR to confidently provide day-to-day benefits administration to faculty and staff in your department?  By attending the DBR Workshop, new (or continuing) DBRs will:

  • Become the department’s resource and be able to provide information, materials, forms, and referral etc, regarding UC’s Health & Welfare programs, the UC Retirement Plan (UCRP), and the UC Retirement Savings Program
  • Become a member of our DBR listserv
  • Receive weekly broadcasts of our DBR News & Announcements
  • Re-broadcast pertinent/timely information to faculty and staff
  • Be able to readily promote the value of working here at the University of California
  • Be invited to our ad hoc DBR training sessions
  • Obtain authorization/access to KP—UC’s Fulfillment House
  • Contact benefits@ucsf.edu to learn how to become a part of our DBR Network.
