2007 Nominations for the Chancellor’s Award for the Advancement of Women
I write to request nominations for the annual Chancellor’s Award for the Advancement of Women. This award recognizes exceptional efforts towards the advancement of women at UCSF beyond the scope of an individual’s job, area of research, or student training. Three individuals--one faculty/academic, one staff, one student/resident/postdoctoral scholar--will be selected to receive this award at a special ceremony to be held in the spring. Each recipient will receive $2,000. I encourage you to nominate both women and men who excel in one or more of the following:
- Elevating the status of women on campus;
- Improving campus policies affecting women;
- Participating in career or academic mentoring for women;
- Generating and disseminating knowledge on women’s health through research, teaching and public presentations; and/or
- Advancing the admission, recruitment, retention, and upward mobility of women at UCSF.
The nomination form, award criteria, and a list of prior recipients are available on the Chancellor’s Office website at http://chancellor.ucsf.edu under Chancellor’s Awards. Nominations must be returned to the Office of the Chancellor, S-126, Box 0402, by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2007. Please call 476-4223 if you have any questions.

Flu Vaccines Still Available to Groups
Employee Health has administered over 8000 flu vaccines in the last month. We are hoping vaccinate thousands more in the next month and we need your help. If you have a group of at least 20 employees that have not received the vaccine, Employee Health will send a nurse to your work location.
Please complete the following and fax it to Suzi Goldmacher NP at 771-4472, she will then get in touch with you to schedule a flu clinic.
