National Take-Back Initiative
The Drug Enforcement Administration has scheduled another National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day which will take place on Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is a great opportunity for those who missed the previous events, or who have subsequently accumulated unwanted, unused prescription drugs, to safely dispose of those medications.
Summer Student Training
Now that UCSF has transitioned safety and compliance training to the UC Learning Center, it is necessary to ensure that OLPPS inputs are prepared for summer students to allow them to access the system. This can be achieved easily by submitting an excel spreadsheet with information on your summer students to Esther Carmona. Esther’s team will enter the information into the identity management system, which will trigger the creation of a UCSF ID number, UCNetID number, and ultimately access to the learning management system. Once access is provided, interaction with the learning management system will be the same as other UCSF employees.
Allow 3 days for the information to be input into OLPPS, and an additional 3 days for the information to migrate to the learning management system. Please contact Esther Carmona with any questions regarding the process.
What’s Up with Learning & Development?
UCSF is beginning the process of conducting a learning and development review in support of the Chancellor’s goal to “be the workplace of choice for diverse, top-tier talent.” A steering committee has been formed and will begin meeting in June to assess current learning and development activities and identify the most cost effective solutions to support staff learning and development.
