New Website for Employees Affected by the UCSF Medical Group Change

As you may have read, effective December 31, 2009, the UCSF Medical Group will end its long-standing affiliation with Brown & Toland Medical group and join Hill Physicians. Employees and/or their dependents enrolled in either Health Net or Anthem Blue Cross PLUS that are members of the Brown & Toland Medical group may be affected by this change. (Individuals enrolled in Kaiser, Anthem Blue Cross PPO, Anthem Blue Cross Core, and CIGNA are not affected.)

A new website has been created to answer questions and provide information on what actions affected employees may need to take. The website also provides basic information on how HMO’s work, Transition of Care Assistance, and a statement regarding this change from Mark Laret, CEO - UCSF Medical Center, and Sam Hawgood, Dean - School of Medicine/Vice Chancellor - Medical Affairs.

Employees who have questions about this change can be directly referred to the website. A link to the website will be available on the HR website homepage.
