Financial Assistance

As you identify areas for development, the following UCSF programs may be able to provide financial assistance for your career development. Simply click the program title below for more information. And you can also ask your supervisor and HR about additional options available within your unit.

Program Sponsor Description
Reduced Fee Enrollment – UC Degree Programs UC

A regular status employee who meets the admission requirements of the University is eligible for two-thirds reduction of both the University Registration Fee and the Educational Fee when enrolled in regular session courses of up to nine units or three courses per quarter or semester, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. Full fees will be assessed when an eligible employee's enrollment exceeds both nine units and three courses.

Reduced fee enrollment applies to most UC programs. Self-supporting UC degree programs do not participate in the reduced fee program.

Wings

School of Medicine

The WINGS program provides financial assistance for the professional and career development of the School of Medicine's career staff employees. The program's goal is to aid in developing skills, knowledge, and other qualities that prepare career staff employees for career growth within the University.

UAP

Designed for University Advancement and Planning employees under the Sr Vice Chancellor, Bruce Spaulding, the GO program provides tuition reimbursement for "career enhancing courses" that provide skills and knowledge above and beyond those considered essential competencies required for the performance of an individuals' current position. This program is available for UAP staff only which consists of Development, Public Affairs, Real Estate Services, Campus Planning, Center for Gender Equity and Community Government Relations.
